From beginning to end it was magnificent! We arrived to warm floors, milk, tea and sugar supplied. We ate Olympia Cafe take out and walked hand in hand to the lighthouse. Towels were fluffy, duvets were embroidered, kitchen left nothing to be desired in terms of functionality. Couch was made for lazy Sunday afternoon naps and wine glasses could be filled with complimentary prize winning wine. We sat each morning watching the passers by on foot, rail and road and smiled..."

Could not have been more pleased! The apartment is spacious, looks like it was furnished from Pottery Barn, and has fantastic view of the bay - and whales! - while we were there. The Olympia Cafe- right next door has amazing food. The location was ideal- not from from Wine Country, the Cape of Good Hope, or Cape Town. Highly recommend this beautiful place!

The quality of the apartment and its superb location surpassed our wildest expectations.

We (2 adults with 2 children aged 11 and 9) just returned from a 2 week family holiday to South Africa. We spent our last 5 days in Harbour Place,as a place to relax after travelling (the Garden Route, a safari and the Klein Karoo) and as a base for visiting the attractions of Cape Town. Harbour Place succeeded on both counts. The apartment itself was very spacious and beautifully decorated with a touch of Africa. All fittings and furnishings were of the highest quality. It really was top notch - easily of the standard you would get in a 5 star hotel. It was located in a new upmarket development, (with 24 hour security, gym, swimming pool etc) right in the heart of Kalk Bay, an eclectic fishing village full of good restaurants and art/curio shops. There were many dining options within a couple of minutes walk. It was only a few minutes drive away from Boulder Beach, home to the african penguins - a must for young kids, Fishoek, a laid back and friendly seaside town with a great beach. It was also only (a breathtaking )30 min drive to Table Mountain. All in all I would highly recommend Harbour Place and Kalk Bay. On our last trip we stayed in Camps Bay but Kalk Bay is a better option in my opinion as the sea is warm here. We would definitely stay there again on any future visit, which hopefully isn't too long away.
